The winger has been on the books at the King Power Stadium since the summer 2018 but is currently spending a second consecutive season shipped off loan having struggled to live up to his billing in the Premier League.

However, Ghezzal has been on fire for Besiktas this term in the Super Lig, with 17 assists and eight goals to his name from 31 outings, playing a crucial role in their first top flight title triumph in four seasons.

Besiktas are keen on extending his stay and Ghezzal, who is warm to the deal, has urged his parent club Leicester to reach an agreement with the Turkish giants.

“I am totally positive to the idea of continuing at Besiktas”, Ghezzal told beIN SPORTS Turkey.

“Both me and Leicester City have to reach an agreement with Besiktas.”

The Algerian is delighted at winning the title with Besiktas, and expressed his gratitude towards the fans, stressing that all the players felt their passion throughout the season.

“We are grateful to our fans.

“We have always felt their passion.

“In a word, this is their victory.”

It is claimed Leicester are open to parting ways with Ghezzal on a permanent basis in the summer, provided they receive the right offer.
