The 22-year-old has been a key player for Heerenveen this season, having scored nine goals and provided eleven assists from 35 appearances across all competitions.

Veerman’s performances for the Dutch Eredivisie outfit have seen him attract transfer interest from several clubs, including Scottish Premiership champions Rangers.

Apart from the Gers, PSV Eindhoven, Atalanta and Reims have been credited with an interest in the midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.

Heerenveen technical director De Haan has admitted that he is aware of Veerman’s links with other clubs, but revealed that no side have approached him to discuss a move for the player yet.

I have of course read all of that [about the transfer links], but no party has yet come forward“, De Haan told Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

Heerenveen are aware of the growing interest in Veerman and are said to have slapped an £8.5m price tag on the midfielder.

There have also been suggestions that the 22-year-old prefers to stay in the Netherlands, despite attracting interest from the likes of Rangers and Atalanta.
