The 26-year-old midfielder was on Leeds’ radar last summer, but the Whites decided against doing a deal due to Udinese’s financial demands.

Marcelo Bielsa is still an admirer of De Paul and Leeds could return in the rapidly approaching summer transfer window, but Liverpool have spoken to the player’s agent and could provide competition for his signature.

“There’s been a lot of talk”, De Paul told The Athletic, when asked about the transfer talk.

“But I’m relaxed about it. My focus is on the next game.”

The Argentine could well be the subject of bids in the coming summer window.

But De Paul insists that it is super hard to even consider leaving Udinese because of how loved he feels at the club.

He stressed that the Italian club care for their players on a personal level, which allows them to just focus on their football.

“It’s not easy to leave here”, he added.

“At Udinese, it’s a family, the club provides you with everything even the simplest things so you can concentrate on your football.”
