Kane is claimed to want to quit Tottenham this summer as he is determined to chase the biggest trophies in the game, which he is unconvinced he can do at Spurs.

A host of top clubs, including Manchester City, are suggested to be keen to snap Kane up in the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Guardiola, who will lose the services of striker Sergio Aguero when his deal expires at the end of June, is in no mood to entertain transfer speculation though.

Asked following his side’s 3-2 loss at Brighton whether he wants to sign Kane, Guardiola replied: “Next question please.

“He’s a Tottenham Hotspur player.”

Tottenham remain determined to keep hold of Kane, despite the striker believing he has a gentleman’s agreement with the club’s supremo Daniel Levy to depart this summer.

A offer of £120m of more may be needed to convince Spurs to change their mind on Kane and it remains to be seen if Manchester City are prepared to dig that deep.
