Since signing for Leeds in the previous summer transfer window, Koch has made 17 appearances for the Whites in the Premier League.

However, the defender missed out on three months of football for the Whites this season due to a knee injury.

Despite that setback, Koch seems to have impressed Germany coach Low enough with his performances for Leeds to warrant a call-up to the the Germany squad, according to German daily Bild.

The centre-back was capped by Germany at Under-21 level before impressing enough to earn a senior team call-up.

He was part of the national team squad for the qualifiers for Euro 2020 in 2019 and he made three appearances in the Nations League for Germany in the last year.

Koch has been excused from Leeds duty between now and the end of the season by head coach Marcelo Bielsa in order to allow him time to be ready for Euro 2020.
