Mikel Arteta has promised big changes this summer after a season that could still see the Gunners qualify for European football, but in the third tier Europa Conference League.

Arsenal are looking at options in the market with the budget expected to be tight ahead of another campaign without Champions League football.

Signing an attacking midfielder is believed to be a priority with Martin Odegaard expected to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Brandt has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time and, according to German magazine Kicker, the Gunners remain very much interested in the Germany international.

The 25-year-old is not a certain starter at Dortmund and has scored just three times in 30 Bundesliga appearances this season.

No decision has been taken on his future yet as Dortmund are waiting for incoming coach Marco Rose to take a look at Brandt this summer.

But Arsenal very much remain in the mix for the player and will consider making a move for Brandt in the summer.

He still has three years left on his contract and Dortmund will want a considerable fee if they are to agree to move him on in the coming months.
