Milik is currently playing at Marseille, having joined the Ligue1 giants on a 18-month loan deal from Napoli. where he was frozen out of the senior squad.

Spurs were chasing his signature during the last transfer window and it is claimed they have rekindled their interest in him.

Tottenham are claimed to be keeping tabs on Milik as a potential back-up for Harry Kane following Carlos Vinicius’ departure, but the Pole has insisted he is currently enjoying life in Marseille as it is the ideal city for him.

He explained that he has peace of mind in France when compared to his stint in Naples, where he always would be mobbed by fans.

“In France everything was closed due to the [virus situation], I don’t know if anything had changed with the open premises, but anyway for me living in Marseille is much easier [than Naples], Milik told the Laczy Nas Ball show.

“I do not hide that it is really ideal for me, in fact sometimes I want to go out for a quiet coffee and here it is possible.

“After four years in Naples, however, where the fans set upon you as soon as they see you, on the one hand the affection of the fans is also nice, but after a while all this is tiring, and it is really very heavy, sometimes I even needed to stay a little quiet, and Marseille now gives me this peace of mind.”

Spurs are also sweating over Kane’s future at the club as he is linked with an exit this summer with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United touted to be potential destinations.
