Lacroix has had an impressive season at Wolfsburg and it has led to speculation over his future at the club this summer.

Chelsea are believed to be in contact with his representatives over a potential deal to take him to the Premier League.

RB Leipzig have also laid their eyes on the young Frenchman and are reportedly in talks to sign him this summer.

And according to German outlet Sportbuzzer, Wolfsburg have already been making moves to bring in a replacement for Lacroix in the next transfer window as the domino effect begins.

They have touched base with Koln defender Bornauw and are in talks to snare him away from their fellow Bundesliga club this summer.

The Belgian was solid for Koln last season and has been linked with Premier League new boys Norwich.

Koln are tipped to be prepared to sell the player for between €15m and €20m.

Wolfsburg are keen to land the Belgian, but could face competition from Norwich, where Bornauw is also rated highly.
