Aston Villa have held an interest in acquiring Rashica’s services since the 2018/19 season and were priced out of a deal in 2019.

Rashica was linked with and exit from Werder Bremen during the last two transfer windows, with Aston Villa among his suitors, but he stayed put.

Werder Bremen have been relegated from the Bundesliga in the season gone by and the Midlands outfit have rekindled their interest in him.

However, Aston Villa are not alone in their admiration for Rashica, as according to German daily Bild, Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have identified him as potential target this summer.

Die Adler are expecting the departure of Kostic this summer and have Rashica in their sights to replace him in their squad, should he leave.

Rashica has a relegation clause in his deal, and with Werder Bremen losing their top flight status, the player can be signed for €12m.

The winger has only a season left on his deal at Werder Bremen and it remains to be seen whether he will play top flight football next season, with suitors in both Germany and England at the moment.
