The Morocco international was a regular starter for Nuno’s Wolves side in the 2020/21 season, making 30 appearances across all competitions.

However, Saiss’ future is in doubt heading into the summer transfer window, despite Wolves triggering an option to extend his contract until 2022.

Wolves are still in the process of appointing a new manager to replace Nuno and the 31-year-old could be on the move.

The west Midlands outfit look to have an option to offload Saiss if they choose to as Ligue 1 club Rennes are interested in him, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

Rennes are looking to sign an experienced defender this summer and are said to have found the former Angers star’s profile appealing.

The Moroccan’s ability to play in defence and midfield also makes him an attractive option for the French top flight club.

Saiss plied his trade in France for several years before joining Wolves in 2016 and could be tempted by the idea of returning to the country.
