The goalkeeper has not put pen to paper to a new contract at AC Milan and is tipped to move on from the Rossoneri this summer.

PSG are making the running in the race to land the Italian and could sign the player and then send him out for a season on loan, with Roma mooted to be a potential destination.

However, PSG could be facing late competition for Donnarumma as, according to Italian daily Il Tempo, Tottenham have made an approach.

The north London side are keen to test the water for Donnarumma as they assess taking him to north London on a free transfer.

Spurs have Hugo Lloris between the sticks, but have been looking for his eventual successor.

With money tight in north London, Tottenham had been expected to keep Lloris as their number 1 for a further year and only then look for fresh shot-stopping blood.

Donnarumma’s contractual situation though and his impending free transfer status have pushed Tottenham to see if a deal is possible.
