Nketiah has 12 months left on his contract at Arsenal and the Gunners have offered him a new deal on improved terms.

Arsenal believe it is better to protect his value by tying him down to a new deal and potentially selling him next season following a fruitful loan stint.

But it seems Nketiah has other ideas and it has been claimed that he is unlikely to sign a new contract with the Gunners.

The striker is rated as unlikely to want to tie himself down to a club where his future is uncertain and is assessing his options.

Arsenal are open to selling him this summer if the 22-year-old does not sign a new deal and he has been linked with Leeds, where he had a stint on loan.

The Gunners want to avoid the situation of Nketiah running his contract down and leaving for nothing next year.

It remains to be seen which clubs might make a bid to try to sign Nketiah from Arsenal this summer.
