The French defender made 26 appearances in La Liga last season and was an important member of the squad at the Mestalla.

But his future at Valencia is under the scanner and there are suggestions Valencia are interested in letting him leave this summer.

He has been linked with a move to the Premier League and Newcastle have put in an enquiry for his signature in the ongoing transfer window.

And according to Spanish daily AS, Valencia are eagerly waiting for offers to land arrive on their table for the 24-year-old centre-back.

Diakhaby is a player that Valencia are waiting to see what offers arrive for, but none have been made yet.

Newcastle are interested, but so far they have not made a concrete move to sign him apart from the enquiry.

Magpies boss Steve Bruce has been handed a £50m war chest to use in the transfer market this summer.

He wants a centre-back this summer and Diakhaby is one of the names the club are considering.
