Castro claimed that the Spaniard was very clear about the offers he had on his table, including a massive one from Tottenham.
The Sevilla president is happy to see that Lopetegui did not play any games and is excited to continue at the club.
“Julen called me and told me that he had several offers that he didn’t pay attention to and a dizzying one from Tottenham.”, Castro said on Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
“But he told me that he was comfortable here, he does not forget things and that he is very excited.”
After several public relations disasters, Tottenham are trying to keep their search for a new manager under wraps.
