The 20-year-old came up through the youth ranks at the Danish side before breaking into their senior squad in 2019.

The young winger made 36 appearances in the Danish Superligaen over the last two seasons, scoring one goal and registering two assists in the process.

Manchester City have Isaksen on their radar and have not ruled out the possibility of scooping up the youngster from Midtjylland, according to Danish daily BT.

It is claimed that the Premier League champions tried to sign Isaksen and, having failed to do so, are continuing to actively monitor him.

However, Midtjylland are keen on keeping the Hjerk-native tied up in Denmark as they want him to continue his development with them.

Isaksen, who is under contract with Midtjylland until 2024, has been capped at youth level for the Danish national team.

It remains to be seen if the Citizens will look to rope in the 20-year-old to the Etihad this summer.
