The Austrian striker scored 16 goals in Bundesliga last season and has been heavily linked with a move away from VfB Stuttgart in the ongoing transfer window.

The German club want to hold on to him, but have indicated that they would be willing to sell if they receive a good offer on their table for the 24-year-old.

He has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham believed to be considering signing him in the ongoing transfer window.

But it has been claimed that his name also features prominently in the thoughts of Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

The Chelsea boss wants to bring in a number 9 this summer and Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is his priority target.

But Dortmund have been insistent that they have no interest in selling the Norwegian hitman this summer.

Haaland remains on Chelsea’s radar but they are also considering alternative options in the market.

And Kalajdzic is very much part of that shortlist of targets that Chelsea are assessing at the moment.

But a deal is likely to be complicated as Stuttgart have already raised £34m in sales this summer and no longer have any pressing need to sell a player of Kalajdzic’s calibre.
