The Whites had a superb first season back in the Premier League, clinching a ninth-place finish under Marcelo Bielsa, while earning plaudits for the way they went about their business on the pitch.

Leeds ended last season with 59 points in the bag, just six adrift of the top six and have already cranked up pre-season preparations as they aim to improve their tally in the upcoming campaign.

Whites star Roberts has revealed all his team-mates would be in agreement when it comes to pushing for a European spot next term, having secured a top ten finish last season.

Roberts stressed that Leeds are not a club that are satisfied with what they have done so far as they always look forward and push to do better with every new opportunity.

Asked about the Leeds’ targets going into the upcoming top flight campaign, Roberts told LUTV: “I think all the boys would agree that we have got to push for some European spaces.

“I do not think that we are ever going to be the type of team that look back and say ‘we did well to get where we were but will this season be a bit different’.

“I think we just look up and we push for better than we are doing.”

Leeds have already bolstered their defence with left-back Junior Firpo this summer and are closing in on a deal for Valerenga shot-stopper Kristoffer Klaesson.
