Chelsea are in the market for a striker in the ongoing transfer window and Erling Haaland is their top target for that position.

But Borussia Dortmund are insistent that they will not sell the Norwegian and despite talk of Chelsea making a €175m bid, the Blues are yet to put in anything to test the BVB’s resolve.

Lukaku, a former Chelsea striker, is also one of the names the Blues have been tracking and it has been claimed that they made an attempt to convince him to return to Stamford Bridge.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea put a contract offer worth €10m on Lukaku’s table in order to tempt him into returning to west London.

But they received a firm negative response from the Belgian and he made it clear that is not interested in the move.

Lukaku has been open about his intention to stay at Inter and stressed the same privately.

The Chelsea offer did not tempt him and he will be wearing the Inter colours next season as they look to defend their Serie A title.

The Belgian feels loved at the San Siro and played a massive part in Inter winning the league.
