The 18-year-old forward 24 goals in 20 Premier League 2 appearances last season and featured three times for the senior team as well.

Manchester City are looking to loan out the talented young forward this summer with a view to seeing him play regular senior football next season.

Several Championship clubs such as Millwall are interested in Delap and Belgian giants Anderlecht are also keen to secure a loan deal for the youngster.

But according to Belgian outlet Walfoot, Manchester City will wait until later in the transfer window before loaning out the striker.

Pep Guardiola is without many of his first-team players at the moment and wants Delap to stick around for a bit during pre-season and the start of the campaign.

The teenage forward is also nursing a small injury at the moment, which Manchester City want to sort out before loaning him out.

It has been claimed that Delap’s loan move is only likely to be finalised after 15th August.
