The 20-year-old midfielder spent last season at Norwich and played a pivotal role in getting the Canaries promoted to the Premier League.

Norwich wanted him back on loan but Tottenham are yet to take a call on his future and Daniel Farke’s eventually signed Billy Gilmour on loan from Chelsea.

Skipp has been preparing for the new season with the Tottenham squad but his immediate future is still shrouded in uncertainty.

Tottenham would prefer to keep Skipp in the first-team squad next season and would not like to loan him out again.

But Tottenham’s squad is still shaping up and Fabio Paratici has been working hard to strengthen new manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s hands.

Skipp’s future is set to depend on who Tottenham manage to sell or sign in the next few weeks of the transfer window.

A decision on him is likely to be taken later in the window with several clubs in the Premier League and abroad interested in him.
