The Belgian signed the Iranian defender from Akhmat Grozny on a free transfer in 2019 and he featured 41 times for the club across all competitions last season.

 

He has another year left on his contract and the Belgian club are prepared to listen to offers for him this summer.

 

 

Mohammadi is one of the high earners in the Gent squad and the club want to move him on in order to cut into their wage bill ahead of the new season.

 

Several clubs are believed to be interested and it has been claimed that Nottingham Forest, Watford and West Brom are considering signing him.

 

 

The three clubs are in the market for left-backs and Gent defender is a common name on their shortlists.
