Rangers have confirmed their starting line-up and substitutes to welcome Celtic to Ibrox for a Scottish Premiership fixture this afternoon.

The defending champions have had a mixed start to the season with exit from the Champions League qualifiers and then only a slender aggregate victory over minnows Alashkert to make the Europa League group stage.

Their preparations for this derby clash have also been disrupted by a virus outbreak which has reduced Steven Gerrard’s options, especially between the sticks.

However, Gerrard has a superb record against Celtic in recent meetings and Rangers have not lost against their rivals in any of the last six meetings, winning five of those contests.

In goal this afternoon Gerrard selects Robby McCrorie, while Leon Balogun, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic make up the back four.

Further up the pitch the Rangers manager looks towards Glen Kamara, Steven Davis and Joe Aribo to control midfield, while Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe support Alfredo Morelos.

If Gerrard needs to shake things up at any point during the 90 minutes then he can look to his bench, where options include Ianis Hagi and Scott Arfield.
