Elanga scored two goals in pre-season for Manchester United, but a minor injury has kept him away from the first-team squad at the start of the season.

His performances in pre-season meant more than half of the clubs in the Championship have at some point made enquiries into him this summer.

With Cristiano Ronaldo arriving, there are suggestions Elanga could be allowed to leave on loan before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

Following the announcement of the Ronaldo deal, Manchester United have fielded more enquiries from Championship clubs for Elanga.

It has been claimed that one club have even made a provisional loan offer, but Manchester United are yet to respond to it.

Manchester United provisionally agreed to keep Elanga heading into the new season, however now the possibility of the Swede leaving on loan has not been ruled out.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been impressed with his attitude and application in training this year.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United agree to loan out Elanga in the coming hours.
