The 28-year-old is a player the north London giants have been looking to move on during the ongoing transfer window.
However, with just around one hour remaining in the transfer window, Aurier is still at Tottenham and does not appear to be sealing a last-minute move.
Several clubs including Lille, Real Betis and Genoa were credited with an interest in the right-back, but a move has not materialised.
With Tottenham struggling to move Aurier on, the Ivory Coast international is now in talks with the club to terminate his contract, according to French radio station RMC.
Aurier has ten more months remaining on his contract with Tottenham, but seems to be keen to put an end to his association with the club immediately.
Spurs have acquired the services of Emerson Royal from Barcelona today and it remains to be seen if they are prepared to terminate Aurier’s contract.
The Ivorian, though, will have to get Spurs to terminate his contract before the end of the day if he is to move to a country where the transfer window slams shut today.
