Son has hit the ground running for Spurs in the Premier League this season with two goals in their opening three games.

The attacker is currently away on international duty with South Korea and was expected to feature against Lebanon in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

However, Son has been ruled out of the international clash owing to a leg injury he suffered during training on Monday.

The Korea Football Association has decided to not play Son for precautionary reasons as they continue assessing his situation.

Son is set to return to north London later this week, with Spurs set to travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League at the weekend.

With the Spurs star currently sidelined with injury, it remains to be seen if he will be able to play any part in the game against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham have enjoyed a fine start to the season under new boss Nuno, winning all three of their opening league games to top the table.
