Manuel Pellegrini’s side kick off their Europa League campaign with a home match against Scottish Premiership giants Celtic following a trip to Granada on Monday.
Should they reach the final of the competition, Real Betis will look to get their hands on the trophy at Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in May next year.
However, Real Betis star Bartra has stressed the need for the La Liga club to focus on one game at a time and insisted that they are only thinking about their match against Granada.
The former Barcelona defender admitted that playing in the Europa League final in their own city would be great for Real Betis, but explained that the team know the importance of taking things step by step.
“We focus a lot on the day to day, now we only think about Granada, and then Celtic“, Bartra told Radio Marca.
“We will think about the group and qualifying from it, there will be enough difficulties to think about further.
“But it is clear that in the end, we will see little by little.
“It has been the way the team perform, thinking [only] about the next game.
“Playing a final is nice anywhere.
“It is clear that here, we are next door, in the city, with all our people and it can be very, very beautiful, but what we focus on is doing a good job in the group because football today is [about] the present.
“As soon as you think about the future, you can get a bit confused.“
Real Betis will be looking to get their Europa League campaign off to a good start when Ange Postecoglou and co visit them next week.
