Leeds are yet to win a league game this season, but have managed to collect two points from their opening three fixtures in the Premier League.

They have a tough game to deal with on Sunday when Liverpool visit Elland Road as the Whites look to get their first big scalp of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

Leeds and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw in the corresponding fixture last season, but Warnock insisted that a packed Elland Road with its electrifying atmosphere is going to be a variable this time around.

He stressed that Elland Road is always an intimidating stadium for visiting teams, but believes even Leeds could find it hard in front of their fans this season due to the rising expectations.

Warnock, a former Leeds captain, said on LFC TV: “It is one of the best atmospheres.

“Passionate, they get behind the team but they can also get frustrated.

“What they have obviously missed is the Premier League football last season and now they have got it.

“It is going to be a tough place, not only for the opposition teams to go, but also for the home team to play in front of because there is an expectancy after last season.”

Leeds came back from behind twice in their only home league game this season against Everton, which finished 2-2.
