Having finished ninth in the table in their first season back in the Premier League, expectations were high for the Elland Road outfit coming into the 2021/22 campaign.

However, Leeds have had a poor start to the season, losing two and drawing two of their four games so far and sitting 17th in the table with just two points to their name.

Leeds’ poor start to the campaign has seen them attract negative attention from the fans and media, but former Whites star Watt has insisted that there is no need to worry.

Watt pointed out that Leeds, whose two defeats have come against Liverpool and Manchester United, lost against those two giants last term and still managed a top half finish before urging fans to calm down.

Leeds United lost against those same teams last season and still finished in the top half of the table“, Watt wrote on Twitter.

People need to chill, don’t listen to the media talking about Leeds ain’t the same with the fans back.

It’s still early in the season, 34 games to go.

Having played Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool in their first four games, Leeds now have a relatively easier set of fixtures coming up, starting with Newcastle United on Friday.
