Leeds are back on the road again in the Premier League on Friday when they travel to Tyneside to lock horns with Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.

Both teams are still searching for their first Premier League win of this term, and Leeds are going to be up against a capacity crowd at St. James’ Park this time, unlike last season.

Whites hitman Bamford is excited for the Newcastle clash as it will be his first time experiencing the atmosphere at a St. James’ Park filled with the Magpies faithful.

Bamford explained that Newcastle’s stomping ground felt massive to him when he played there in front of empty stands last season and so he is excited to see how it feels when the fans are in it.

Asked about his thoughts on the upcoming Newcastle clash, Bamford said on the Official Leeds United Podcast: “Excited, to be honest.

“I have never played there with fans.

“I am quite excited because obviously the stadium is massive when you are there without the fans.

“So, with the fans in it, I think it is going to feel unreal.

“[It is incredible], especially with the Leeds fans will be right up in heavens are they not?

“I am just quite excited about it all.”

Leeds had the upper hand both times they faced Newcastle in the league last season, and they will be determined to return from Tyneside with three points in the bag again.
