The 25-year-old played at Fulham last season on loan from Lyon, but was unable to prevent them from sliding down back to the Championship.

But Andersen is again playing Premier League football this season having joined Crystal Place in a permanent move this summer and is a fixture in their squad under new boss Patrick Vieira.

The centre-back has revealed he is loving life at his new club and is enjoying playing football for the Eagles.

Andersen is of the view that the English top fight is the best in the world and is relishing the competitive nature of the league.

“It has been good for me to try some different cultures and leagues”, Andersen was quoted as saying by Danish daily Ekstra Bladet.

“You probably have to try them yourself to understand how different they are.

“But now I’m in the Premier League and that’s the top for me.

“It is the most competitive league.

“All teams are strong and really hard to beat, so you have to be on your toes in every single match.

“In addition, the attention to the league is huge compared to the other leagues I have tried.

“I just have to say I love life here and my football.

“I am a happy man.”

Andersen along with his Crystal Palace team-mates are set to travel to Merseyside at the weekend to take on Liverpool in the Premier League.
