Kessie’s contract at the Milanese club expires next summer, with the Italian giants and the midfielder locked in a tense stand-off.

The club are desperate for the star midfielder to sign a new contract but so far no agreement has been reached on terms to keep Kessie at the club.

One point of contention between the club and Kessie is the wage demands of the midfielder, demands AC Milan have so far been unwilling to meet.

The midfielder heading towards being a free agent has alerted a host of clubs, including Tottenham, whose football managing director Fabio Paratici is keen on the player, while Liverpool are also claimed to be interested in becoming Kessie’s next home.

They face serious competition though as, according to Italian daily La Repubblica, Juventus are prepared to meet Kessie’s demands.

Juventus feel that signing Kessie on a free transfer would be superb business and will meet his financial requirements.

Kessie is not far off the 200 appearances mark for AC Milan and the Serie A side are loath to lose him on a free transfer, but will need to change their stance to prevent him departing.
