The Tyneside-based club are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season and currently sit 19th in the table with only three points from seven games.

After Steve Bruce’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Wolves last weekend, Newcastle Under-21s lost to Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, adding to the frustration of the fans.

With both the senior team and the Under-21s suffering defeat, Shevas expressed his discontent by claiming that Newcastle cannot even win against their own shadows at the moment.

Trevor feels the Under-21s’ defeat is the sad reflection of Newcastle’s current state and stressed the need for the club to undergo a monstrous shake up from top to bottom before it is too late.

Colin insisted that Newcastle are rotten as a club and blamed failed management, poor investment choices and a lack of a vision, while Graeme feels arch-rivals Sunderland will be laughing at the Magpies soon.

Sven pointed out that the idea of having a development squad is to prepare youngsters for first team football and joked that the Under-21 players are ready to play for Steve Bruce’s side in that case.

Bobby worries for highly-rated teenager Elliot Anderson, who started against Harrogate, and suggested that he could be mismanaged by Newcastle, while Jack Young caught Jonathan’s eye on the night.

Jamie addressed Mark Gillespie’s error that led to Harrogate’s first goal of the night and said that Newcastle have three poor goalkeepers in the shape of Karl Darlow, Freddie Woodman and the 29-year-old.
