Ginter is in the final year of his contract at Gladbach and it has led to speculation over his potential departure at the end of the season.

Tottenham are amongst the clubs who are keeping tabs on him with a view to snapping up the defender on a free transfer next summer and even Bayern Munich are interested.

Gladbach want to keep hold of him but Ginter conceded that he is worried about his future and for the moment, he has no concrete offer on his table for a new contract from his current club.

He is keen not to discuss the prospect of joining other clubs at the moment and wants to wait and watch on how the situation develops over the next few months.

Ginter told German broadcaster Sport1: “Of course, I am worried as my contract will expire next year.

“Out of respect for Gladbach, I have never talked about other clubs. So far, there has been no concrete offer from Gladbach, Max Eberl has already explained that.

“We’ll see what the next few months will bring.

“I am very relaxed.”

Ginter will be free to start discussing pre-contractual agreements with clubs outside Germany from January onwards.
