Celtic are going through a rebuilding process under new boss Ange Postecoglou, who has included a clutch of academy graduates in his matchday squads this season.

The likes of Adam Montgomery, Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston have all clocked up game time under Postecoglou this season as the Hoops look to get back to the top of Scottish football again following an underwhelming campaign last term.

Celtic, who are fighting it out in the group stage of the Europa League this term are among the clubs with most number of academy graduates in their squad in the competition.

The Glasgow outfit have eleven academy players in their current Europa League squad, although they rank only fifth in the category.

Danish side FC Midtjylland, who are the club with the most academy players in their squad registered for the Europa League this season with 16, have taken to social media to celebrate being ahead of the likes of Celtic.

The Hoops managed to get their first points on the board in the continental competition with a win against Ferencvaros last week while Midtjylland are still awaiting their first win.

Both teams are currently third in their respective groups and it remains to be seen whether they will square off at any later stage in the competition.
