Nuno has been relieved of his duties at Tottenham just four months after taking charge as their boss on the back of consecutive defeats to West Ham and Manchester United in the Premier League.


The Portuguese tactician being sacked as Spurs boss has sparked talk of him coming into the frame for the Newcastle managerial role and some Magpies fans believe he is the ideal candidate.



Southern Mag pointed out how Nuno is a defensive manager with Premier League experience and says that he is the perfect candidate to lead Newcastle’s relegation battle this season.


Giddy is of the view that the Portuguese tactician would know how to get Newcastle out of the Championship if they suffer relegation this term, having earned promotion with Wolves before.



Andrew believes Nuno would be the right fit for Newcastle if they suffer relegation, but he feels it would not reflect well on their ambition if they stay up.


ScoutNUFC thinks Nuno would be a good fit for Newcastle, but is of the view it would be amateurish for the club to drop their recruitment process mid-way to turn their attention towards the former Wolves boss.


Josh insisted that Newcastle should not consider Nuno’s brief spell at Tottenham when considering him for the managerial job and suggested that the players will experience a positive jump in standards if the Portuguese tactician comes in.
