The Red Devils are gearing up to host bitter rivals Manchester City in the top flight on Saturday with both teams coming into the clash determined to get the win.

Despite a 3-0 victory away at Spurs in their last league outing, the pressure is still on Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to deliver on the pitch, while the Citizens will be looking to get back into the win column after losing 2-0 to Crystal Palace last weekend.

Ex-Manchester City star Sinclair is of the view that if Solskjaer does not deploy three centre-backs in the backline on Saturday, the visitors will slice the home team open and wipe the floor with them.

“Looking at them I think you have got to try and get [Edinson] Cavani and [Cristiano] Ronaldo in the team”, Sinclair said on talkSPORT.

“The fact that the wingers are slightly underperforming will be a concern, but for me if Manchester United do not play with a three [at the back] I think Manchester City will wipe the floor with them.”

Ronaldo is again expected to lead the line for the Red Devils and Sinclair believes he will score a lot of goals for his team this season, but insists he is likely to not win any trophies at Old Trafford.

“He [Ronaldo[ will score goals.

“There is a lot of glory in there if he does turn it around for Manchester United, but the likelihood is he will score a lot of goals but he will not pick up any silverware.”

Only three points separate the Manchester duo in the league table and Manchester City will be determine to pile on the pressure on the Red Devils, who have lost three league games in their last five.
