The Magpies are currently bottom of the Premier League table, yet to register a single win in 14 outings.

Newcastle have entered a new era of leadership following the takeover by a Saudi Arabia-led consortium and the new owners bought in Eddie Howe to manage the club after parting ways with Steve Bruce in October.

The new Magpies boss has been evaluating his side ahead of the winter transfer window during which he wants to bolster his squad to better their chances of maintaining their top flight status.

Howe wants to have more options in defence and PSG’s Diallo is among the players Newcastle are monitoring as a potential recruit.

And according to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 giants are keen on offloading the 25-year-old in the upcoming winter transfer window.

PSG have compiled a list of seven players they want to remove from their books in January and Diallo is one of the names.

Les Parisiens are open to listening to offers for Diallo in January and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will push for him next month.
