A 1-0 win over Sevilla on Wednesday night made Salzburg the first Austrian team to reach the knockout rounds of the Champions League in more than 20 years.

It was also the first time the club had made it to the last 16 of the Champions League and Adeyemi played a major role in helping them to get the crucial win over Sevilla.

However, his future at Salzburg is under the scanner due to interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Premier League giants Liverpool and Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

But Adeyemi is not interested in anything other than celebrating with his team-mates after Salzburg’s European achievement this season.

He stressed that he is not ignoring the noise around his future and is happy with what he has done at Salzburg.

Adeyemi told Sky Austria: “I don’t want to think about anything else on this historic evening other than just partying with the boys until Saturday.

“I have to ignore that [the rumours] in the media.

“I am here at Salzburg and this is exactly what I wanted to achieve with this team.”

Losing Adeyemi in the January transfer window would be a blow for Salzburg, who would prefer to keep him until the summer.
