The 25-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move back to Europe after failing to make the cut previously at Leeds United.

The Japan international is a big target of Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, who wants to take him to Parkhead in the winter transfer window.

Celtic are claimed to have made an offer for him with a view to signing him next month as part of their recruitment plans.

And Gamba Osaka are willing to allow the midfielder to hold conversations with Celtic over a move to Glasgow.

The J-League club are not keen to stand in his way concerning a move to Europe if the midfielder is keen to join Celtic.

Ideguchi is claimed to be itching for a crack at European football again after failing at Leeds previously.

Postecoglou wants him and Leeds are keen to push to work out an agreement to sign the Japanese.

It remains to be seen whether a deal can be agreed upon for Ideguchi to move to Parkhead next month.
