Insigne will be out of contract in the summer and he is yet to agree to sign a new deal with his current club Napoli.

The Serie A giants have been unwilling to meet the 29-year-old’s wage demands but have been trying to reach a compromise with the player.

But Insigne is wanted at several clubs and Tottenham are amongst the teams who are looking to snap him up on a free transfer next summer; it is claimed Spurs lead the race.

And according to Calciomercato.it, the winger has also received a mega-money contract offer from the MLS.

It has been claimed that Toronto FC have offered a contract worth €20m per year gross to the player and are pushing to land him.

The player would end up earning €11m net per year if he agrees to join the MLS side in the near future.

It is far from what Napoli are prepared to offer at the moment and no other European club are also expected to get close to what Toronto are offering.

However, it remains to be seen whether Insigne decides to stay in Europe or accept the big-money offer from the MLS.
