Pogba will be out of contract in the summer and he has an offer on his table from Manchester United to put pen to paper on a new deal.

But the Frenchman is not happy with the terms on offer and Manchester United would have to improve the financial offer to keep him at Old Trafford.

The midfielder’s agent has been holding talks with several clubs who could snap him up on a free transfer at the end of the season.

But according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Rangnick believes the Manchester United team could do without the midfielder’s presence.

The interim manager also does not feel Pogba is worth the wages he is demanding from the Red Devils as a condition to sign a new deal.

He is of the opinion that he is not good enough to command wages to the tune of €15m to €20m the Frenchman wants on a new contract.

The German is scheduled to leave Manchester United at the end of the season but is likely to advise the club against signing Pogba up on a new contract.

The midfielder is now more likely to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer.
