Morelos was struggling this season and was not getting on the scoresheet as often as Rangers would have liked him to.

But he has looked in more potent form since Van Bronckhorst took charge of the club last month and has scored in his last three league games running.

Moore stressed that Morelos’ confidence is back as he is scoring goals consistently again, which is important for any forward.

He pointed out that Van Bronckhorst’s tactical tweaks mean that the Colombian has been playing in more central areas and is getting more opportunities to score.

The former Gers star also insisted that the forward is looking happier under the new manager.

Moore said on the Go Radio Football Show: “He is back scoring goals.

“And any striker when they start putting the ball back in the net on a regular basis then that confidence comes back very quickly.

“He is finding himself in good central areas, which I think has been the difference in the way Giovanni wants him to play.

“A bit of a smile back on his face again.”

Morelos has 12 goals to his name in all competitions this season and Rangers will hope that he continues his good form in the second half of the campaign.
