The 22-year-old defensive midfielder will be out of contract at the end of the season and Marseille have been trying to convince him to sign a new deal with the club.

But their efforts are yet to bear fruit and there is speculation that he will move on from Marseille on a free transfer in the summer.

Clubs such as Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle are keeping close tabs on his situation ahead of a potential swoop to snap him up.

Marseille have offered him a new deal, but according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the club are yet to have an answer from the player.

Kamara recently insisted that his agent will be sorting out his future while he is focusing on his football.

Marseille are keen to hold on to him but want clarity from the player’s entourage in order to plan for the future.

But for the moment, they do not know whether the midfielder is planning to stay or leave in the summer.

There is an increasing likelihood that Kamara will leave Marseille on a free transfer next summer.
