Dean Smith was looking for his Norwich side to pick up much needed points to aid their battle for survival in the Premier League this season, but they were second best against a rampant Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka scored after just six minutes, while Kieran Tierney then dealt Norwich a big blow by putting the visitors 2-0 up just before half time.

Arsenal did not ease off and Saka scored again, along with goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe, as they ran out 5-0 winners.

Huckerby admits Arsenal were the better team, but is of the view Norwich made life easy for them.

“Arsenal obviously the much better team today but the won’t play a easier fixture this season! [sic]” he wrote on Twitter.

Norwich have now lost their last four Premier League games on the bounce, failing to score a single goal in the process.

They are next due to travel to Crystal Palace in midweek before they then welcome in the new year by heading to Leicester City.
