The Gunners are in the market for a new striker, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped from the first team for disciplinary reasons, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract next summer.

Arsenal have zeroed in on Fiorentina hitman Vlahovic as their top target for the striker’s role and are willing to spend big to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

The north London giants believe that the addition of Vlahovic can propel them to a top four finish in the Premier League this season.

And Arsenal are ready to propose a fee in the €70m range for the Serbian’s signature, while also offering a pay-packet worth €19m over a five-year-spell.

And according to Italian daily La Nazione, Arsenal are also prepared to give Vlahovic’s entourage €18m to ensure the striker will move to London.

Vlahovic is a man-in-demand and is also credited with interest from Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, but Arsenal are keen to snap him up this month.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be able to seal a deal for Vlahovic in the coming weeks, with the club feeling they have an opportunity to take him to north London which may not come again.
