Juventus have been looking to offload Ramsey since last summer and the Welshman has not played for the Italian giants since September.

He has returned to full fitness and Massimiliano Allegri has made it clear that he expects the player to leave in the ongoing transfer window.

The Welshman has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with it being suggested that newly rich Newcastle are a likely destination, but Crystal Palace are also keen.

And according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, the Eagles are making strong progress in talks to sign the midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.

Patrick Vieira appears to want the player and believes he has the ability to make it in the Premier League again despite his poor spell at Juventus.

Juventus want to offload his wages from their bill and have been open to both permanent and loan deals.

It remains to be seen what kind of deal Palace are looking to agree to land Ramsey this month and whether Newcastle might enter the fray with a concrete proposal.
