Spurs are interested in signing Amrabat from Fiorentina before the end of the transfer window on Monday; they could face competition from Napoli.
The north London club have been in talks with Fiorentina over taking the Morocco midfielder to London on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
It has been claimed that Spurs have offered a loan fee of €1.5m and an option to buy for a fee of €15m, with Fiorentina prepared to sign off on a deal.
But according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the final deal is still dependent upon Tottenham moving Ndombele on in the final 72 hours of the window.
Antonio Conte wants Amrabat but Spurs are yet to find a taker for the French midfielder this month.
Paris Saint-Germain have been interested in Ndombele but their own failure to move on midfielder has reduced their chances of signing the Spurs star.
The Frenchman is not part of Conte’s plans and Tottenham have been desperate to move him on.
Amrabat is keen on joining Spurs but for the moment he can just wait and watch as the club look to move on Ndombele.
