With his performances for Scottish club Aberdeen, the right-back has earned admirers outside of Scotland, who want to bring him in this window.

Leeds are keen on the player but Serie A club Bologna are also on the right-back’s case and both clubs have made offers for him.

The Serie A club made a loan offer for the right-back that included a fee of €1m and also an obligation to buy clause, but this offer was rejected by the Scottish club.

Now, the Whites are set to receive further competition for the right-back as fellow Premier League club Watford are also tracking him.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass conceded that speculation about his future had unsettled the right-back.

The Whites’ offer for the right-back includes a fee of €3.5m to sign him on a permanent basis and they are prepared to let him spend the rest of the season in Scotland.

It remains to be seen if any of the two English clubs are able to secure the signature of the right-back who has 14 appearances and four assist to his name this season in the league.
