The 21-year-old is currently in the middle of a loan spell at Nottingham Forest where he has become an integral part of the first-team.

His performances have not gone unnoticed with several clubs credited with an interest in Spence, including Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.

Spence is being seen as a future prospect by Spurs, who have been keen to welcome him to north London this month.

Tottenham have in fact tabled two bids for Spence, though both of them have been rejected by Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough value Spence at £15m and are reluctant to budge from their original valuation for the player.

So, barring any late change, the full-back is set to stay put at Nottingham Forest until the end of the season before he moves on.

The Fulham academy graduate has made three-goal contributions so far this season.

His contract with Middlesbrough runs until the summer of 2023.
