The Scottish giants jumped into the fray on deadline day following days of speculation regarding the Welshman’s future.

Ramsey had a number of offers on his table to leave Juventus as the clock ticked down on the window and eventually picked Ibrox as his destination.

Giving his initial response to joining Rangers, Ramsey insisted that there is much to look forward to at Ibrox between now and the end of the season.

The chance to play in front of 50,000 fans at Ibrox and represent the club in the Europa League were the biggest lure, the former Arsenal midfielder insists.

“I am really pleased to be joining a club like Rangers, where there is so much to look forward to between now and May”, Ramsey told his new club’s official site.

“I had a number of offers on the table, but none matched the magnitude of this club, with European football and the chance to play in front of 50,000 fans every other week.

“I have had some fantastic conversations with the manager and Ross Wilson, and I’m really looking forward to working with both of them, and to meeting the supporters.”

Ramsey could be thrown into action in Wednesday’s derby clash against rivals Celtic as Rangers look to make sure they keep top spot in the Scottish Premiership.
